You can achieve a well-balanced and functional space by following a few simple tips!

1. Measure + Create a Floor Plan.

• Measure the dimensions of the room, windows, doors and ceiling height. 

• Using graph paper or an online tool create a floor plan to help you envision your space and experiment with different layouts before you make physical changes. Consider the natural flow of the room and how people will move through it.

2. Think about Style, Scale and Function!

• Does the style of your new item fit with the vibe of your room?

• Does your new item fit well with other elements and the overall size of your room?

• Will this new item serve your intended purpose? I.e. Are there enough bulbs to light the space? Does the couch provide enough seating? Will the accent table be large enough to fit your  existing decor etc.?

3. Use Painters tape and/or large paper to visually map out the footprint of your selections!

• Live with it for a few days to make sure it works!
